Thanks so much Terry. Did this guy mean the old Merritt(Grove) campus. Where Laney is there were projects and a baseball field. The projects were called auditorium village, and the baseball fied was Eposition Field...the present Laney parking lot was where they built Frank Youell Field where the Raiders played after playing their first three years at Kezar and Candlestick. The faculty time at Merritt during the retroffit, destruction of the school was very dispiriting for the faculty. They had to put pallets in between the portables on rainy days. Two women faculty memebers were raped by transient predators who evidentally stalked the campus, and the exile was almost five years.
